SS# 6348, Tracy
QM Report, 1/31/92
FINDINGS
Water-level measurements indicate that on December
11 , 1991 the depth from the surface to the groundwater
averaged 9 .7 feet . The flow direction was to the N39E with a
gradient of 0 . 001.0 foot per foot . These and earlier
measurements are lasted in Table 1.
As reported by ChromaLab of San Ramon, California,
no TPHg or BTEX was detected in well MW-2 to the west of the
station, indicating that an earlier release f rom the Shell
station across Tracy Boulevard has not migrated to this site
and that no onsite contamination is present at this location.
No contamination was detected at MW-4 which is located at the
northwest of the property in a downgradient direction from
the underground tanks. At MW-3 , where TPHg and BTEX were
identified before, these compounds are reported again. The
benzene constituents are somewhat elevated from the previous
reading.
Laboratory results are listed in Table 2 . The
laboratory report and chain-of -custody documentation are
attached as Appendix A
Mattelhauser Corporation recommends that scheduled
quarterly monitoring continue an order to detect any changes
which might occur in the condition of the subsurface.
Please call me with any questions or comments
about this report, at 10) 743-0335 .
DGE GEp
Sincerely,
MITTELHAUSER CORPORATION
No 3633
q2 \ Mar o ie Bushnell
`lglE Of C ` Pro ct Manager
A►i
attachments:
Figure 1: Site Plan
Table 1: Groundwater Levels
Table 2 : Laboratory Results
Appendix A: Laboratory Report
Chain-of Custody Documentation
Well-Monitoring Report
copies:
Mr. Keith Bullock, Unocal Corporation
Ms. Beth Thayer, RWQCB
