V ATC Associates Inc.
1117 Lone Palm Avenue,Suite 201
Modesto, California 95351
209-579-2221
ASSOCIATES I N C . Fax:209-579-2225
Soil and Groundwater Investigation Workplan
Tracy Truck & Auto Stop
3940 North Tracy Boulevard
Tracy, California
Site Code: 1953
1.0 INTRODUCTION
On behalf of Tracy Truck & Auto Stop, ATC Associates Inc. (ATC) has developed this Soil and
Groundwater Investigation Workplan for the Tracy Truck & Auto Stop. This workplan was
prepared in response to correspondence dated August 27, 2009 from Mr. Harlin Knoll of San
Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) requesting preparation of a work
plan to investigate the lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater and a follow up
telephone conversation with Mr. Knoll on October 7, 2009. The workplan details the following
tasks:
• Task 1: Drilling Preparation and Permitting
• Task 2: Boring Advancement and Completion
• Task 3: Laboratory Analysis
• Task 4: Disposal of Investigative Derived Wastes
• Task 5: Report Preparation and Geotracker Upload
2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located on the northeast corner of Tracy Boulevard, and W. Larch Rd. in the city of
Tracy, California (Figure 1). The site is located in an area transitioning between rural and
commercial/industrial uses with both commercial/industrial development and open spaces
located nearby. An undeveloped parcel lies to the north and commercial development is
present to the south and east.
3.0 ENVIRONMENTAL BACKGROUND
It is ATC's understanding that during a recent fuel dispenser upgrade at the site, diesel
impacted soil was detected and an. underground storage tank unauthorized
release/contamination site report was filed. SJCEHD subsequently issued a directive to conduct
an investigation to further evaluate the extent of impact.
SCOPE OF WORK
Task 1: Drilling Preparation and Permitting
Under this task, ATC will prepare a site specific health and safety plan (HASP) to perform a soil
and groundwater investigation at the site
Once approval of this workplan is received, ATC will submit a boring permit application under
separate cover to the EHD along with the required fees.
Page 1
