' 09 June 2004
AGE-NC Project No 98-0452
' approximate hydrocarbon Impact to ground water for the March monitoring event
BTEX compounds and fuel additives other than MTBE were not detected at or above laboratory
' reporting limits in any of the ground water samples analyzed
Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory reports
' {CTEL Project Nos CT214-0312127 and CT214-0403205}and chain-of-custody forms are included
in Appendix E
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
• Average depths to water at the site have remained relatively stable since monitoring began
in September 2000
• Dunng the December monitoring event, the ground water gradient was 0 004 ft/ft with a flow
direction toward the west-northwest, which is shallower than the gradient calculated during
the third quarter 2003 During the March monitoring event, the ground water gradient was
0 0009 ft/ft with a flow direction toward the northwest, this was much shallower than the
gradient calculated during the fourth quarter 2003
• Ground water flow direction during previous monitoring events has alternated from the
northeast to the southwest Local ground water appears to be influenced by seasonal
hydrologic changes
• TPH-g was detected during the December monitoring event in monitoring well MW-2 at a
concentration of 200 µg/1 Since initiation of ground water monitoring in 1999, TPH-g has
been detected only three times, in well MW-2 during the second, third and fourth quarters
2003
E • MTBE was detected in monitoring wells MW-2 and MW-3 during both monitoring events
Concentrations ranged from 8 1 µg/1 to 190 µg/1
• BTEX constituents and fuel additives other than MTBE have not been detected at or above
laboratory reporting limits in any of the ground water samples collected and analyzed since
initiation of monitoring in November 1999
IAdvanced Geo Environmental,Inc
