1
1 30 March 2001
AGE-NC Project No 98-0452
1 TPH-g and BTEX compounds
1 Analytical results of ground water samples are summarized on Table 2 The laboratory report(MAI
Laboratory M 63510 through 63513) and chain-of-custody forms are included in Appendix B
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
1 Based upon data collected from the site, AGE concludes the following
1 • The ground water gradient was calculated to be 0 002 ft/ft with a flow direction toward the
north-northeast
• TPH-d was not detected above laboratory reporting]units In any of the ground water samples
1 collected and analyzed
• MTBE was detected in monitoring wells MW-3,MW-2, MW 1 and DW-1 at concentrations
1 of 48 [lg/l, 29 µg/l, 2 1 gg/l and 1 2 µgd, respectively The concentrations detected in
samples MW--3 and MW-2 exceeed the action level and Maximum Containment Level for
lie MTBE in dnnkmg water
1 5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected from the site,AGE recommends continued ground water monitoring for
1 MTBE The next quarterly monitoring event should be scheduled for June 2001 AGE recommends
that the domestic well be monitored monthly for MTBE
IG.O. LIMITATIONS
1 Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon field
measurements and analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the
geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of'this investigation are made from a
limited number of available data points (I e ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may
I vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or lrzmphed, is remade as to the
professional recommendations contained in this report
I
i
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
