' k'q KLEINFELDER <br /> 5 LABORATORY RESULTS <br /> 1 <br />' A total of four groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were <br /> submitted for the following analysis during the four quarterly sampling events in 2002, although <br /> oxygenates were omitted for the fourth quarter 2002 <br />' • Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Total Xylenes by EPA Method 8260 (BTEX), <br />' • Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel (TPH-D) by EPA Method <br /> 8015B, <br />' • Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA Method <br /> 8015B, <br />' • Tertiary Butyl Alcohol (TBA), Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), Di-isopropal Ether (DIPE), <br /> Ethyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (ETBE), and Tertiary Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) by EPA <br />' Method 8260B, <br /> For a summary of these, and previous groundwater sampling results, refer to Table 2 included in <br /> the Appendix of this report <br /> TPH-D was detected in the groundwater samples collected from MW-1 in 2002 at concentrations <br /> ranging from 13 to 350 mg/l TPH-D has not otherwise been detected in perimeter wells MW-2, <br /> MW-3 and MW-4, except that TPH-D was detected at 0 076 mg/1 from MW-2 in June 2002 <br /> TPH-D was not detected in MW-2 during the third or fourth quarter 2002 TPH-D was detected <br />' at 27 mg/l from MW-1 during the most recent fourth quarter 2002 sampling event TPH-G has <br /> not been detected in perimeter monitoring wells MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 in 2002 TPH-G was <br /> detected from MW-1 in 2002 at concentrations ranging from 1 7 to 6 4 mg/1 TPH-G was <br />' detected at 1 7 mg/l in MW-I during the fourth quarter of 2002 <br /> Petroleum constituents benzene, toluene and five oxygenates listed above have not been detected <br />' in the four monitoring wells during the sampling events of 2002 Oxygenates were discontinued <br /> during the fourth quarter 2002 after approval by PHS/EHD Ethylbenzene and/or total xylenes <br /> have been detected in MW-1 only, during 2002 at relatively low concentrations Ethylbenzene <br />' was detected in groundwater collected from MWA in 2002 at concentrations ranging from 1 6 to <br /> 2 1 microgram / liter (µg/1) Total xylenes were detected at concentrations ranging from none <br /> 1 detect to 1 5 mg/1 With the exception of the trace diesel concentration found in MW-2 no <br /> petroleum constituents were detected in the groundwater samples collected from perimeter wells <br /> MW-2, MW-3 or MW-4, during the four quarterly sampling events conducted in 2002 <br /> 18748 T02/ST03ROSI Page 9 of 12 <br /> © 2003 Klemfelder,Inc January 23,2003 <br />
