California <br /> Delta Project No D092-708 <br /> Page 4 <br /> up to 100 ppm TPH-diesel could be left in place at 25 feet below grade without posing a threat to <br />' groundwater " A copy of this letter is presented in Appendix A <br /> Following the drilling and sampling of the three soil borings, Delta submitted an Addendum to Request <br /> for Site Closure Report, dated January 26, 1995 It is Delta's understanding that following the submittal <br />' of the January 26, 1995, addendum report, the county notified General Mills on February 24, 1995, that <br /> a report following the Appendix B Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations Request For Closure was <br /> suggested General Mills initial request for site closure was submitted on September 3, 1993, <br />' approximately 6 months prior to the issuance of the Appendix B guidelines dated March 1, 1994 <br /> 2.3 Well Locations <br /> Three monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-3) were installed at the site in May 1992 The installation <br /> Fband construction details of these wells is presented in Delta's Hydrogeologic Investigation Report, dated <br /> June 9, 1992 Monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2 are located approximately 50 feet north and 3 feet <br /> west, respectively, of the former tank excavation Monitoring well MW-3 was Installed within the eastern <br /> portion of the former excavation The location of the monitoring wells are presented in Figure 4 <br /> 1 <br /> Information provided to Delta by General Mills indicates that an agricultural well is present approximately <br />' 1,000 feet west of the former tank area In addition, two municipal wells (Well #5 and Well #7) are <br /> within 2,000 feet of the former tank area Well #7 is approximately 1,000 feet north of the site and well <br /> #5 is approximately 1,400 feet south A third municipal well, Well #15 is located approximately 2,200 <br /> feet west-northwest of the former tanks The location of the wells are shown on Figure 5 <br /> 3 0 SUMMARY OF INVESTIGATION RESULTS <br />' 31_ Site Geo�Y <br /> Soils beneath the site to a depth of approximately 34 feet bsg are predominately poorly graded sand with <br />' gravel, silt, and well graded sand with silt From 34 feet to approximately 42 feet bsg, a clay with sand <br /> R.PI'137 SJS <br />
