VVzI �Nc <br /> evaluation of the remaining petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in the soil and <br /> groundwater at the site This request was made in accordance with the County Public <br /> Health effort to close petroleum contaminated underground storage tank sites that do not <br /> pose a significant health and safety threat to the public, and that also do not significantly <br /> impact the beneficial uses of the waters of the State of California This concept of closure <br /> of minimal risk underground storage tank waste sites is in accordance with the findings and <br /> recommendations of the Lawrence-Livermore National Laboratory Report (Lawrence- <br /> Livermore National Laboratory, 1995) that evaluated the overall performance of site <br /> investigations and remediation of soil and groundwater petroleum hydrocarbon- <br /> contaminated sites from underground storage tanks located in California <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted standards of <br /> environmental practice in California at the time this investigation was conducted This <br /> investigation was conducted solely for the purpose of presenting the results of past <br /> investigations which were conducted by other consultants and contractors and one <br /> igroundwater sampling of the monitoring wells at the site conducted by WZI No soil <br /> engineering or geotechnical references are implied or should be inferred Evaluation of <br /> environmental conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation is made from a <br /> limited number of observation points and review of technical reports prepared by other <br /> parties Subsurface conditions may vary from the available data points <br /> WZI is a professional services consulting firm with experience in regulatory compliance and <br /> environmental engineering The members of WZI are State of California Registered <br /> Environmental Assessors, Registered Engineers and Geologists WZI expresses no <br /> opinion as to disciplines, subjects and practices outside those specifically enumerated <br /> above Further, WZI expresses no opinion herein as to any matters of California or federal <br /> law This Problem Assessment Report and Closure Document is based on the foregoing <br /> and subject to the limitations, qualifications, exceptions and assumptions set forth herein <br /> 19150011 005 5 <br />
