QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING REVIEW
• QUARTERLY GTS MONITORING AND SAMPLING REVIEW
4614 W TURNER RD , LODI
PAGE 3
Summary
Trace amounts of TPHg were aetected an MW 3 and trace amounts or
Benzene and Toluene were aetectea in the influent to the GTS .
MW 3 early an the monitoring program consistently showed low
levels of contaminants , with a downward trend In the four
quarterly samplings previous to this report , MW 3 has shown only
trace amounts or more often non aetectible levels of
contaminants The current results of trace levels of TPHg
suggest that the plume as retreating The current results also
suggest that the rising water table over the last years has not
picked up contaminants in the soil Therefore, the retreat of the
plume as not likely to reverse zrselT
MW-1 ( currently the extraction well proV?aang the influent to the
GTS ) is closest to the sacie cf tie former underground tank , and
has uD to this time cons istent lsshown the !Zighest levels of
contaminants This well has also snown a continu?na downward
trend in contaminants especially since the installation of the
GTS The current trace level of Benzene and Toluene , and no
detection of other contaminants is a very good scan consistent
with the results of the last quarter of 1994 , when no
contaminants were detected We will need further auarterl_v
testing to confirm that the low to non-detect level of
contaminants is a long term condition
Effluent from the GTS continues to snow no traces of
contaminants
The next quarterly sampling will occur an May 1994 . At that
time , an abbreviated round of sampling will oe done to include MW
3 , MW 6 , MW 7 , GTS influent and ef; '_ uent
I can be reached at ( 209 ) 339-1311 with an-y questions or comments
you may have related to tnas pra -7ect
Yours truly
AST VINEYARDS
J ephen Manilda
Attachments
cc California Regional Water Quality Control Board
