J. Hunter & Associates <br /> February, 1995 <br /> PURPOSE OF REP RT- <br /> In June, 1987, a 500 gallon UST which had been used for storing <br /> gasoline was removed from the property. A soil sample taken from <br /> beneath the removed tank revealed measureable amounts of benzene, <br /> toluene, xylene, & TVPH- The hole was filled with clean material, <br /> and the removed spoil was stored on site & covered with plastic_ <br /> Correspondence from the San Joaquin County EHD in March, 1994 <br /> notified the owners that the site could not be recommended for <br /> final closure and had been placed on the San Joaquin County EHD <br /> contaminated site list. A copy of that document is attached as <br /> EXHIBIT A. <br /> In November, 1994, the San Joaquin County EHD notified the owners <br /> that additional site investigation would be required in order to <br /> remain in compliance with the SWRCB cleanup fund. Refer to <br /> EXHIBIT B for a copy of that letter- This PAR & workplan has <br /> been prepared to address that requirement. <br /> PROPERTY LOCATION <br /> The site is located in the southwest part of the city of <br /> Stockton, about 2 blocks north of Charter Way, and just to the <br /> west of Center Street- 1-5 is approximately 1/2 mile to the <br /> west, and the new crosstown freeway is slightly less than 1 mile <br /> to the north. The property has been used for the sale & repair <br /> of drainage & irrigation pumps for many years; no residences are <br /> located on the site. The prior owner operated a trucking company <br /> on the property. <br /> PROPERTY OWNER- <br /> George C.
