i <br /> • <br /> PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> Amended Work Plan dated December 15, 2005 requested by San Joaquin County Health, <br /> was approved by Mr Michael Infurna on January 10, 2006 Field work conducted to <br /> satisfy the Amended Work Plan was conducted between March 8 - 10, 2006 and March <br /> 20 — 24, 2006 Soil and groundwater samples obtained by the field work were chain of <br /> custody delivered to a State of California Certified Laboratory for analysis as part of the <br /> soil and groundwater environmental subsurface investigation to determine <br /> 1 the extent of soil contamination, <br /> 2 the extent of groundwater contamination and <br /> 3 develop a corrective action plan for Are Pump and Welding, 1211 South Turnpike <br /> Road, Stockton, CA <br /> SITE LOCATION, USE AND NUMBERS <br /> PROJECT LOCATION <br /> • The site address is 1211 So Turnpike Road, Stockton, CA The 0 33 parcel is located at <br /> the northeastern corner of the intersection of Commerce Street and So Turnpike Road in <br /> an area zoned for light manufacturing and industrial use (Figure 1) The property is <br /> located in projected Section 14, TIN, R6E, of the MDB&M at approximately 12 feet <br /> above mean sea level (Figure 2) <br /> The property previously contained one 500 gallon gasoline Underground Storage Tank <br /> (UST), that was used to store leaded and unleaded gasoline from the late 1950's or early <br /> 1960's through 1987 (Figure 3) The UST, product dispenser, and associated <br /> underground piping were removed from the site in 1987 <br /> The prior property owner (Robert Fowler) has installed four groundwater monitoring <br /> wells in the course of investigating the soil and groundwater conditions at the site These <br /> four wells were destroyed during this assessment <br /> LOCAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The site is located on surface soils belonging to the Stockton Adobe Clay series These <br /> soils are derived from Recent alluvial fan and floodplain deposits The 94 feet of <br /> explored section at the site consisted of stiff clay and silt with 2-4 foot thick layers of fine <br /> to medium sand at approximately 20 to 35 foot interval, the 48 to 56 foot interval, the 58 <br /> to 66 foot interval, and the 71 to 88 foot interval below ground surface (bgs) <br /> 3 ARC Pump, ASSESSMENT 2006 <br />
