GROUNDWATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION <br /> Figure 4 shows the groundwater elevation gradient and flow direction determined from <br /> depth to water measurements at the four on-site monitor wells on August 21, 2001 The <br /> groundwater elevation has decreased by an average of 1 13 feet at the four monitor wells <br /> since the previous quarterly monitoring round on May 22, 2001 The flow direction is to <br /> the east The overall gradient is 0 001 feet/linear foot <br /> RESULTS OF CERTIFIED ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES <br /> The results of the certified analyses of groundwater samples collected from the four <br /> monitor wells on August 21, 2001 are shown in Table 1 Copies of the laboratory reports <br /> are included as Appendix C of this report <br /> TPH-G concentrations ranged from a maximum of 72,000 ug/1 at monitor well MW3 to <br /> 310 ug/1 at monitor well MW4 <br /> Benzene concentrations ranged from a maximum of 7200 ug/1 at MW3 to 13 ug/l at <br /> MW4 <br /> MTBE concentrations ranged from a maximum of 400 ug/1 at MW3 to less than <br /> Iaboratory detection limits of 0 5 ug/1 at MW4 <br /> Figure S shows the distribution of TPH-G, BTEX, and MTBE in groundwater and the <br /> estimated lateral limits of the TPH-G in groundwater as determined from groundwater <br /> samples collected on August 21, 2001 <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> ■ Coordinate collection of Fourth Quarter 2001 groundwater data at 1211 S Turnpike <br /> Rd with Advanced GeoEnvironmental (AGE'S ) Fourth Quarter 2001 Groundwater <br /> Monitoring round at 1201 S Center Street scheduled for December 3, 2001 <br /> ■ Review AGE's report of results from the installation of CPT testholes at 1201 S <br /> Center following submittal to the SJCEHD <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> The discussion presented in this report is based on the following <br /> 1 The observations and data collected by field personnel <br /> 2 The results of laboratory analyses performed by a state certified analytical laboratory <br /> 3 Our understanding of the regulations of San Joaquin County and the State of <br /> California <br /> 3 Arc Pump QM 7-9, 2001 <br />
