GROUNDWATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION Figure 4 shows the groundwater elevation gradient and flow direction determined from depth to water measurements at the four on-site monitor wells on August 21, 2001 The groundwater elevation has decreased by an average of 1 13 feet at the four monitor wells since the previous quarterly monitoring round on May 22, 2001 The flow direction is to the east The overall gradient is 0 001 feet/linear foot RESULTS OF CERTIFIED ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES The results of the certified analyses of groundwater samples collected from the four monitor wells on August 21, 2001 are shown in Table 1 Copies of the laboratory reports are included as Appendix C of this report TPH-G concentrations ranged from a maximum of 72,000 ug/1 at monitor well MW3 to 310 ug/1 at monitor well MW4 Benzene concentrations ranged from a maximum of 7200 ug/1 at MW3 to 13 ug/l at MW4 MTBE concentrations ranged from a maximum of 400 ug/1 at MW3 to less than Iaboratory detection limits of 0 5 ug/1 at MW4 Figure S shows the distribution of TPH-G, BTEX, and MTBE in groundwater and the estimated lateral limits of the TPH-G in groundwater as determined from groundwater samples collected on August 21, 2001 RECOMMENDATIONS ■ Coordinate collection of Fourth Quarter 2001 groundwater data at 1211 S Turnpike Rd with Advanced GeoEnvironmental (AGE'S ) Fourth Quarter 2001 Groundwater Monitoring round at 1201 S Center Street scheduled for December 3, 2001 ■ Review AGE's report of results from the installation of CPT testholes at 1201 S Center following submittal to the SJCEHD LIMITATIONS The discussion presented in this report is based on the following 1 The observations and data collected by field personnel 2 The results of laboratory analyses performed by a state certified analytical laboratory 3 Our understanding of the regulations of San Joaquin County and the State of California 3 Arc Pump QM 7-9, 2001
