SUMMARY
Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were again sounded and sampled on August 11,
1995 Utilizing a Keck' interface probe, the W W Irwin, Inc staff geologist intercepted the
piezometric surface in the wells at an average depth of 31 82 feet, indicating that the water table
has risen 0 43-foot in the three months since May 9 when the average depth-to-water in the wells
was 32 25 feet bsg Due to a very wet winter and spring, the water table has risen an average
of 4 21 feet since the wells were sampled on February 6, 1995
Using the three-point method, the calculated local direction of ground-water flow on May 9,
1995 was approximately S89°E (very nearly due east) along a gradient of 0 003 foot/foot The
flow direction has shifted 9' to the east and north since May 9, 1995 when it was S80°E
Ground-water samples were collected from the three wells, transported on ice under chain-of-
custody, and received at Sherwood Labs on August 11, 1995 The samples were analyzed for
oil & grease, diesel, gasoline, and BTEX constituents The report of analytical results revealed
' wholly nondetectable concentrations of all constituents with the exception of toluene, which was
revealed in the sample collected from MW-3 at the fractional concentration of 0 4 jug/f
The next and final monitoring activity of the present contract is scheduled for early November,
1995
` CERTIFICATION
Should any questions arise regarding the information contained in this report, or if we may be
of further service, please contact our Merced office at (209) 725-2085 W W Irwin, Inc is not
responsible for undisclosed or hidden, site-specific information or conditions
' Respectfully Submitted,
IW.W.
