October 25, 1993
8.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
Roger Foott Associates, Inc recommends that the groundwater beneath the Site be
monitored on a quarterly basis (every 3 months) for a period of one year At that time a request
for site closure should be submitted if no contanunation is detected during each monitoring
event No further work appears to be necessary at this time Residual concentrations of
hydrocarbons in soil do not appear to be sufficiently high or near enough to groundwater or
other exposure pathways to justify additional mitigation
We recommend the soil pile be characterized for hazardous properties for proper
disposal Because no contaminants were detected in the groundwater we recommend
development and purge waters 55-gal drums be properly disposed of
-
9.0 LIMITATIONS
This investigation has been conducted in accordance with generally accepted standards
of environmental geological practice at the time it was performed This investigation was
performed for the sole purpose of evaluating environmental conditions with respect to
hazardous or potentially hazardous materials in the vicinity of the former underground tank at
the subject property Further investigation, including subsurface exploration, construction of
monitoring wells, and laboratory testing of soil and groundwater samples, can further
characterize the subsurface condition and extent of contamination No soil engineering or
geotechnical references are made nor should they be inferred
r
ROGER
FQDTT
nssncrarFs
3uooi.unr
