(AGE) on your behalf for the above-referenced site. The
EHD also reviewed historical analytical data from soil and groundwater samples collected both
at your site and the adjacent site located at 1601 Turnpike, and it is the opinion of the EHD that
additional site investigation is needed on your property.
AGE has stated in the narrative for Quarterly Report — Third Quarter 2007, dated October 31,
2007, that "Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-g)-impacted shallow and deep
groundwater at the former underground storage tank (UST) location appears to be defined in
every direction except towards the north, directly beyond well MW-3. TPH-g-impacted
shallow and deep groundwater at the eastern portion of the site, immediately south of the
adjacent Lopez Property TPH-g-impacted groundwater plume, is undefined towards the south
and east." AGE has further stated that "The dissolved benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and
total xylenes (BTEX) is defined vertically at the fanner UST area."
The EHD concurs with AGE that the groundwater plume containing contaminants of concern
(COC) has not been defined along the eastern boundaries of your site, south and southeast of
the former UST site located on the adjacent property at 1601 Turnpike Road. Further
investigation is needed to delineate the extent of contamination in soil and groundwater to
determine if a comingled plume exists between your site and the 1601 Tumpike Road site.
