09 April 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0141 <br /> Page 4 of 13 <br /> The assessment will consist of the following tasks <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • CPT ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Soil boring and sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Monitoring well Installation and sampling, <br /> • Ground water extraction well installation, <br /> • Performance of 8-hour variable rate and 48-haw constant rate ground water extraction <br /> feasibility tests, and <br /> i0 Report preparation <br /> I3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department(EHD) an updated health and safety plan will be prepared Prior to mobilization, <br /> each soil probe and/or soil boring location will be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained <br /> through Underground Service Alert The EHD will be contacted 72 hours prior to conducting <br /> investigation activities <br /> 3 2 CPT ADVANCEMENT AND GROUND WATER COLLECTION <br /> AGE proposes to advance one CPT soil boring at the former UST location to characterize lithology, <br /> potential contaminant migration pathways and to assess the vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-Impacted soil and ground water The proposed CPT soil boring location is illustrated <br /> In Figure 2 <br /> The CPT boring shall be advanced to approximately 150 feet bsg utilizing a 25-ton truck-mounted <br /> CPT rig equipped with 2-inch diameter hollow-stem rods,however, total depths of borings may vary <br /> according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered during drilling activities <br /> Grab groundwater samples will be collected in intervals of porous and permeable material Selected <br /> ground water and soil samples will be analyzed by a State of California Department of Health <br /> Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for the following constituents <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
