. 24 March 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0141 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> • Monitoring well installation and sampling, <br /> • Sensitive receptor survey, and <br /> • Report preparation <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD a site-specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan will be prepared Prior to mobilization, each soil probe and/or soil boring location will <br /> be clearly marked and a utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert The PHS- <br /> EHD will be contacted 72 hours prior to conducting investigation activities <br /> 3 2 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> During the drilling of the proposed monitoring well pilot bonngs, soil samples will be collected at <br /> five-foot intervals from ground surface to the total depth of the borings Field procedures for the <br />• collection of soil samples are presented in Section 4 1 At least one soil sample from each monitoring <br /> well boring will be analyzed for the following <br /> • TPH-g by EPA Method 8015 Modified/5030, <br /> • BTEX by EPA Method 8020, and <br /> • Fuel oxygenating compounds including di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether <br /> (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), MTBE, and TBA by EPA Method 8260 <br /> modified <br /> Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations <br /> 33 MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> Following advancement of the monitoring well borings, two-inch diameter monitoring wells will be <br /> installed in each of the borings Ground water monitoring wells will consist of 15 feet of well screen <br /> section The well screen section will be installed across the observed water table level with five feet <br /> of screen section extending above the water level and ten feet of screen section extending below the <br />. water table level Based on ground water table level, it is anticipated that the total depth of the <br /> Advanced GeoEmironmental,Inc <br />
