Jason,
I will get with Monica to make a determination on whether we can have Lowry haul these off for us or if we'll have to
look elsewhere.
I'll get back to you with our final answer. Thank you for the help!
From: Gaitan, Jason <jgaitan@sjgov.org>
Sent: Thursday, March 19, 2020 1:02 PM
To: Michael Plascencia <mplascencia@sunnyvalleysmokedmeats.com>
Subject: RE: Return to compliance
Hi Michael,
After review I have closed violation 406.
Violation 102: The information Busch provided is incorrect. Attached to this email is how to properly manage drained
used oil filters. Note the highlighted section on how to manage drained used oil filters. Do not dispose of used oil filters
in the garbage! If Sunny Valley does not want to follow the drained used oil filters exemption, you can manage the used
metal oil filters as oily solids and have them picked up by a registered hazardous waste hauler.
I hope this email helps. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Hope to hear from you soon,
.JASON GAITAN
EHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
(209) 468 -9848 -Office
(209) 468-3433- Fax
1868 E. We would then have the used filters thrown
away once the oil is completely drained.
