SAN J OAQU I N Environmental Health Department <br /> CC LJ N T Y------- <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> YOSEMITE FOODS 4221 E MARIPOSA RD, STOCKTON March 16, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: In the chemical storage cage Denaturant Green was observed spilled on the floor, secondary <br /> containment pallet,wall and drums. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean up the Denaturant Green Spills. Manage the waste according to Title <br /> 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned <br /> up waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(4)(2)Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: <br /> -The secondary containment pallet for Flex ALS was observed in the chemical storage cage with greenish sludge <br /> inside <br /> -The secondary containment pallet for new oil was observed in the shop filled to the top with oil <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure <br /> its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the spill pallets into proper working order by cleaning them. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by April 16, 2020, 30 days from now. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br /> of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br /> ($152).
