BUGS IN MEAT WALK-IN COOLER. BUG SPRAY <br /> THROUGHOUT FACILITY." <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7; <br /> 113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #23 Rodents, Insects or Animals Inside Facility <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Flies were observed in the meat department(on service counters, as well as on and in the meat grinder). <br /> Meat grinder was disassembled, clean and sanitized on site. No bugs were observed in the meat walk-in cooler. <br /> Take action to reduce/eliminate flies within the facility. Take care to keep doors closed as much as possible(deliveries being <br /> received during inspection). <br /> Facility has a UV light in the meat department(was not turned on at the start of the inspection), in the Cremeria and in the <br /> hallway between the store and the rear storage area. <br /> Facility receives service from Terminix every other Friday. Service is performed for control (preventative measures)of <br /> rodents, cockroaches and flies. <br /> Increase pest control measures as insect activity increases. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Each food facility shall be kept free of vermin:rodents(rats,mice), cockroaches,flies.(114259.1, 114259.4, <br /> 114259.5) <br /> #29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br /> OBSERVATIONS:Two cans of insect spray were observed under the stairs in the rear storage area. Remove household <br /> insecticides from use at food facility. Per Store Director, these products are used to spray down pallets in the outdoor <br /> receiving area. Product was removed from the indoor area to outdoors. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All poisonous substances, detergents,bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br /> utensils,packing material and food-contact surfaces.
