FR - SERIES FRP REDUCER <br /> INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS <br /> FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION or REPLACING FLEXIBLE TEST REDUCERS <br /> 'wNS <br /> The FR- Series fiberglass test reducers from S . Bravo Systems , Inc . do not need to be <br /> installed by a Bravo Certified Installer. However, we highly recommend that the <br /> installer is familiar with the F - Series fiberglass entry fittings . If the installer is not <br /> familiar with these products he can get Certified by completing either the <br /> F = Series ( FS ) Test or the DoubleWall Test ( FOR DOUBLEWALL SUMPS ONLY) at : <br /> www . sbravo . com / cert <br /> IMPORTANT: Keep your reducer halves clean and dry at all times . Do not leave them on <br /> the ground . Ensure your secondary fiberglass pipe is protruding from your entry fitting with enough <br /> surface to bond the FR- Series reducer to . ( Fig . 1 ) <br /> RETROFITTING FLEXIBLE REDUCERS <br /> Repeat Steps 1 - 4. In Step 2 , remove any adhesives or sealants used to glue the original reducer. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION <br /> STEP 1 ) Prepare the surfaces of the fiberglass piping where the FR- Series fiberglass reducer will be <br /> bonded . Rough up the area to remove the gloss coating and create a smooth and level surface . Dry <br /> fit your FR- Series halves for proper fit . ( Fig . 1 ) <br /> STEP 2 ) Using your fiberglass pipe manufacturers adhesive only, add fiberglass filler and mix <br /> thoroughly. Then catalyze , mix and apply a generous coating to the contact areas of the pipe where it <br /> will bond to the interior of the FR-Series fiberglass reducer. Follow adhesive mfg . instructions .
