GP-93-4 OF KING & LYONS
(APPLICABLE COUNTY WIDE)
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the negative declaration; and
2 . Approve the General Plan Text Amendment No. GP-93-4 based
upon the "Basis of General Plan Amendment" contained in
the staff report.
BACKGROUND:
This General Plan Text Amendment would add a policy to Volume I of
the San Joaquin County General Plan 2010 to permit the "lending" of
uses between the Limited Industrial, General Industrial, and
certain Commercial Designations. Although this amendment was
initiated to facilitate development in the Patterson Pass
Industrial Park, addition of the policy to the General Plan would
be applicable in appropriate situations County wide.
The Planning Commission heard this matter at its meeting of June
3rd of 1993 . Paul Lang, representing King & Lyons, spoke in
concurrence with the staff report. The Planning Commission voted
5-0 to approve the negative declaration and forward General Plan
Text Amendment No. GP-93-4 to the Board of Supervisors with a
recommendation for approval based upon the "Basis for General Plan
Amendment" contained in the staff report.
FISCAL IMPACT•
None.
