PC: 10-22-92 <br /> TA-92-14 <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the Planning Commission recommend that the Board of Supervisors: <br /> 1. Approve the Negative Declaration; and <br /> 2. Approve Development Title Text Amendment No. TA-92-14 based on the 'Bases for <br /> Recommendation' contained in the staff report. <br /> BASES FOR RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. The proposed Text Amendment is consistent with the General Plan. <br /> • The proposed change In the text of the Development Title is consistent with the <br /> General Plan's Goals, Objectives, Policies, and Implementation Measures. <br /> 2. The proposed Text Amendment will not have a substantial, adverse effect on properties affected <br /> by the Text Amendment. <br /> • An Initial Study for the proposal, prepared on September 17, 1992, Indicates that no <br /> significant, adverse effects are expected to occur as a result of this proposal. <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> SECTION 1 Addition of involuntary and voluntary abatement to the definitions to provide <br /> needed meanings for the additions to the Enforcement Chapter in SECTION 22. <br /> SECTION 2 Removal of provisions under the Custom Manufacturing use type that were <br /> unreasonable and too restrictive, plus clarification of the type of mechanical <br /> equipment. <br /> SECTION 3 Removal of certain restrictions for non-conforming uses. <br /> SECTION 4 Change in the wording for lot size in Residential Zones to conform with Table 9- <br /> 310.3, as shown in SECTION 5. <br /> SECTION 5 Consolidation of the Tables for 'Standards for Lot Width, Yard Dimensions, <br /> Height, and Building Intensity' and 'Standards for Lot Sizes.' <br /> SECTION 6 Addition of Section 9-405.5, Special Use Regulations, in Commercial Zones which <br /> had previously been a note in the use classification table. <br /> Addition of a provision to permit new uses whose requirements are no greater <br /> than existing uses they replace to do so without an Improvement Plan or Site <br /> Approval. <br /> -3- <br />
