PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> MARCH 17 , 1988 <br /> 8 . GENERAL PLAN TEXT AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. GP-88-24 (CONSISTENCY <br /> MATRIX ) OF THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY PLANNING DIVISION to amend the <br /> Zoning/General Plan Consistency Matrix, Appendix B, of the Land <br /> Use/Circulation Element of the General Plan. Applicable <br /> Countywide. <br /> Senior Planner Dom De La Torre introduced a written report into the <br /> record. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING OPENED <br /> PROPONENTS/OPPONENTS : There was no one in the audience wishing to be <br /> heard on this item. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED <br /> Comm. Gillispie suggested that the C-RC zone be considered as a con- <br /> sistent zone with a General Plan designation of Rural Residential . <br /> Deputy Director Tom Walker said staff would have the consultants look <br /> at the appropriate commercial zoning for the entire Rural Residential <br /> designation. <br /> Comm. Gillispie concurred with that comment and, therefore, withdrew <br /> his suggestion. <br /> MOTION: Moved, seconded (Carter-Rojas ) and carried by a vote of 6-0 <br /> to recommend that the Board of Supervisors: <br /> 1 . Approve the Negative Declaration and instruct the Clerk to file a <br /> Notice of Determination; and <br /> 2 . Approve General Plan Text Amendment No. GP-88-24 based on the <br /> "Basis for Recommendation" given in the staff report. <br /> Comm.
