Environmental Site-
Assessment, Tracy Airport, 29633 Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, CA; PHS EHD Site
Code 1422 Wright Project No. 4581 ,
Dear Mr.:Verma,
Wright Environmental Services, 'I'nc. (Wright) is pleased to provide you with this workplan for
the environmental investigation at the Tracy Airport (Airport) located at 29633 Tracy Boulevard,
Tracy, CA (see Figure. 1). . The purpose ..of this work is to- ascertain presence of suspected
petroleum contaminants i-n soil.around the former underground petroleum fuel.tanks dispenser::
and fuel pipeline line °area as required by the San Joaquin County -Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division (SJC/EHD) in their.letter dated October 17, 2007..
1.0 Backgrotind and Technical Approach
The Airport used two underground fuel storage tanks (Tank #1. 10,000 gasoline-.Tank #2 10,000.
gallon gasoline)until their removal from the site on December 14, 1998. Soil excavated from the
tank.pit, fuel line and dispenser was stockpiled on-site and soil samples were collected. The data
suggested that leakage has occurred from-fuel line and dispenser into soil. A water sample was
• not collected from the tank pit. Approximately 200 yards of contaminated tank backfill and soil
was excavated from the tank pit, fuel line and dispensers area that was apparently returned to the
tank pit;excavations. The'purpose of this work is to evaluate whether a declining trend of
contaminants are observed in the soils analyses and if further work is warranted.
Page I of 3
