Analysis
On August 9, 1994, the Board of Supervisors heard testimony from several residents of the French Camp
area regarding the installation of a public sewer line in the area by the City of Stockton and how this
sewer line may impact the ability to expand or remodel their existing residences or add additional dwelling
units such as mobile homes.to their property. Specifically, Section 9-1105.2(e) of the Development Title
was discussed, which states that mandatory connection to a sewer main is required if an expanded use
generates additional wastewater and if the sewer main is within 200 feet of the nearest property line. After
some discussion, the Board of Supervisors directed the Community Development Department to review
this ordinance and propose an option to provide relief from the ordinance requirement for mandatory
sewer connection.
With input from the Environmental Health Division, the Community Development Department identified one
potential option (which is this proposed Text Amendment) for consideration by the Board of Supervisors.
San Joaquin County -I A-94- ,San Joaquin County
crnmunity Deveiccment _9_
