CHAPTER 9-1420 <br /> PONDS EXCAVATION STANDARDS <br /> Sections: <br /> 9-1420.1 Intent <br /> 9-1420.2 Applicability <br /> 9-1420.3 Development Standards <br /> Section 9-1420.1 Intent The intent of this Chapter is to provide standards for removing excess material from <br /> property for the installation of ponds for water supply or recreation) pumoses. <br /> 9-1420.2 Applicability. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply only if the amount of material being <br /> removed is limited to that which is required for viability of the pond. <br /> Section 9-1420.3 Development Standards. The following development standards shall apply to any Pond <br /> Excavation Permit approved under the provisions of this Title: <br /> (a) Parcel Size. The parcel that will contain the pond must be at least twenty (20) acres in size <br /> Maximum Pond Size. The surface area of the pond shall not exceed two (2) acres <br /> (c) Mabmum Cub+c Yards. No more than thirty five thousand (35,000) cubic Yards of material can <br /> be removed from the parcel, <br /> u Maximum and Minimum Ceoth. The pond cannot be any deeper than twelve (12) feet below <br /> the surrounding average grade as determined by existing elevations at a distance of one <br /> hundred (100) feet arcund the perimeter of the pond and must be to a depth that will maintain <br /> the health of the pond. <br /> (e) Accessory to a Residence. The pond must be accessory to an existing residence <br /> Private Roads. All private roads involved in an excavation shall be maintained so as to control <br /> the creation of dust: <br /> Lql Fnal Grade.
