CHAPTER 9-1420 <br /> PONDS EXCAVATION STANDARDS <br /> sections: <br /> 9-1420. 1 Intent <br /> 9-1420.2 Applicability <br /> 9-1420.3 Development Standards <br /> Section 9-1420.1 Intent. The intent of this Chapter is to <br /> provide standards for removincr excess material from property for <br /> the installation of ponds for water supply or recreational <br /> purposes. <br /> 9-1420. 2 Applicability. The provisions of this Chapter shall <br /> apply only if the amount of material being removed is limited to <br /> that which is required for viability of the pond. <br /> Section 9-1420.3 Development Standards. The followincr development- <br /> standards <br /> evelopmentstandards shall apply to any Pond Excavation Permit approved under <br /> the provisions of this Title: <br /> (a)_ Parcel Size The parcel that will contain the pond must <br /> be at least twenty (20) acres in size, <br /> (b) Maximum Pond Size The surface area of the pond shall <br /> not exceed two (2) acres , <br /> (c)_ Maximum Cubic Yards. No more than thirty five thousand <br /> (35 , 000) cubic yards of material can be removed from the <br /> parcel The material shall not be removed to a site <br /> outside of San Joaquin County, <br /> 1d Maximum and Minimum Depth. The pond cannot be any deeper <br /> than twelve (12) feet below the surrounding average grade <br /> as determined by existing elevations at a distance of one <br /> hundred (100) feet around the perimeter of the pond and <br /> must be to a depth that will maintain the health of the <br /> pow nd. <br />
