SUMIDEN WIRE PRODUCTS CORPORATION <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> JOB TITLE: P C PLANT MAINTENANCE OPERATOR <br /> Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as counters, relays, <br /> programmable controllers. <br /> Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press, and milling machine to <br /> repair or fabricate machine parts,jigs and fixtures, and tools. <br /> Operates cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts <br /> Fabricates and repairs counter, benches, partitions, work stations equipment and other <br /> structures made from wood, steel etc. <br /> Operates Fork Lifts, Overhead Bridge Cranes, all Production Machinery and uses all commonly <br /> used Hand Tools. <br /> Keeps Work Area and Work Bench clean at all times. This includes cleaning work areas in the <br /> plant site where Maintenance work has been performed, Electrical Control Rooms, Maintenance <br /> Shop, Maintenance Storage Areas, Pallet Racks etc. <br /> Keeps all Oils both new and used in proper containers and on double containment. This includes <br /> the filling out and installation of labels to Used Oil Containers, Oily Water Containers and any <br /> Hazardous Waste that is created by the Maintenance Department. The replacement of all caps, <br /> bungs, plugs etc. that may be removed to empty drums of fill drums. <br /> Completes before shift ends, all check sheets, Daily Shift Reports, and other reports required. <br /> Communicates with on-coming Shift Maintenance Person on Plant Repair Status or Issues etc. <br /> QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty <br /> satisfactorily. (if promoted from within <br /> Sumidens Employee Pool, attendance and successful completion of assigned Electrical Classes <br /> at San Joaquin Delta College is required) <br />
