Place the probe back in the pit <br /> PROBE: (continued) <br /> 21. Return all supplies to the supply cabinet. <br /> Note: This test will be performed daily at the A <br /> or B or C shift pickling operators scheduled <br /> start time. <br /> PROCEDURE: <br /> CLEANING AND CALIBRATION OF THE PH 1. Turn the Chemical Pumps to Off position and <br /> PROBES IN TANKS 1 & 2: turn off P-7 Pump switch. <br /> 2. Fill Tupperware container with pH Buffer 7. <br /> 3. Remove the pH probes from # 1 & 2 balance <br /> tanks. <br /> 4. Clean the probes with distilled water and an <br /> The Pickling /Waste Treatment Operator will acid brush to remove any impurities. Ensure <br /> perform the following: the bulb is clear and clean and does not have <br /> a film over it. <br /> 5. Rinse the probes again to flush them with <br /> (Note: There is one (1) probe in # 1 tank and distilled water. <br /> two (2) probes in # 2 tank that needs to be <br /> cleaned and calibrated during the same 6. Place the probe in the Tupperware container <br /> session weekly) with the pH Buffer 7. Allow sensor to attain <br /> temperature equilibrium in the buffer until the <br /> reading on the meter in the cabinet stabilizes. <br /> 7. Review the value on the meter in the cabinet. <br /> If the value displayed is within 6.9 to 7.1, place <br /> the probe back in the tank. If the value is <br /> outside of the upper or lower limit, make the <br /> proper adjustment and/or call the Maintenance <br /> Supervisor if necessary immediately. <br /> 8. After cleaning and calibration, Turn to On or <br /> Auto position, the Chemical Pumps and P-7 <br /> Pump. <br /> NOTE: This test will be performed weekly, on <br /> Mondays, by the assigned Shift Pickling <br /> Operator at the start of the Shift <br />
