Environmental
Science &
Engineering,Inc. /we'
A CILCORP Company
January 30, 9991
Project No. 6-90-5030
Mr. Harlin Knoll ,.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, California, 95201
SUBJECT: Additional Work at AT&T Lodi Facility, 110 West Turner Road, Lodi, San
Joaquin County, California
Dear Mr. Knoll:
This letter documents our phone conversation of January 29, 1991 regarding the site
assessment for the subject facility. ESE will perform a second round of sampling at the site
as soon as possible to verify the ground-water analytical results from the November 1990
sampling. Three monitoring wells at the subject facility will be purged and sampled
according to the procedures outlined in the original workplan for the project, prepared by
ESE and submitted to the County on September 17, 1991. The only deviation from the
proposed procedures will be to use disposable, precleaned bailers for sampling.
I verified the sequence of sampling for the November 1990 sampling event at the subject
site with Ms. Shannon O'Hare of ESE who performed the work. Ms. O'Hare stated that
the bailer rinseate sample was taken prior to sampling any of the wells. Samples from the
wells were placed in either amber 1-liter bottles or 40-ml VOA bottles. The amber bottles
had a distinct label designation versus the VOA bottles.
We are scheduling the second round of sampling for next week. We will call you 48 hours
in advance. Please contact Sue Wickham at (415) 685-4053 with any questions.
Sit-,c-rely,
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE & ENGINEERING, INC.
Susan S.
