Issue # 403 CCR , Section 66265 . 173 — Facility failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous waste. 1 . The lid was secured to the container of oily rags . This container was subsequently removed (shipped out to Industrial Waste Utilization ) . Both a photo of a closed container and a generator manifest are attached . 2 . The container was closed and labeled appropriately . The Pharmacy employees have been provided with training to keep containers with hazardous waste properly labeled and closed at all times , except when adding more waste . Training sheets are attached . 3 . This container was closed . An appropriate label was applied to the container as well . The Reverse Osmosis Plant (water treatment) employees have been provided with training to keep containers with hazardous waste properly labeled and closed at all times , except when adding more waste . Training sheets are attached . Issue # 406 CCR , Section 66261 . 70 — contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one (1) year of being empty. 1 . The empty blue container was provided with an label containing the necessary information . 2 . All of these 10 containers were provided with labels containing the appropriate information . These containers have subsequently been removed (shipped out to Industrial Waste Utilization ), 3 . The three ( 3 ) totes were provided labels containing the appropriate information and have been subsequently removed . Photos and the shipping document are included with this response . Issue # 601 CCR, Section 66262 . 34(a ) — Stored hazardous materials on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. 1 . The gun cleaning solution has been removed as non - RCRA Hazardous Waste Liquid Waste Code 343 (see attached Manifest 009507906 FLE) . 2 . The oily rags from the Armory have been collected and removed (see attached manifest) . Armory Sergeant J . Ramos has been provided with training on the management of hazardous waste generated at the Armory (see attached training sheet for Sergeant J . Ramos ) . 3 . The drain pan was removed and training was provided to the WWTP ' s employees on managing waste oil . 4 . A 55 gallon metal drum containing waste oil was moved from the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP ) to the waste oil storage area . The oil was subsequently pumped out . Shipping documentation is attached . The WWTP ' s employees have been provided training on managing waste oil .
