r <br /> LU <br /> EWIRONAIEN7AL TECHNOLOGIES OORPORATION <br /> May 16, 1995 O <br /> 94-338-001-T09 MAY 17 1995 <br /> MS M MENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> Mary S y PERMITISERVICES <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201-0388 <br /> Subject Status Update Report, McAllister Trust, 601 S Ventura St , Stockton, CA <br /> Ms Meays <br /> This letter report is submitted by Canonie/Smith Environmental Technologies Corporation <br /> (SMTH) on behalf of McAllister Trust to summarize recent activities conducted at the subject <br /> site (Figure 1) Activities performed included backfilling and compaction of the excavation <br /> pit, destroying well MW 1 remnant, installing, developing, and sampling replacement well <br /> MW 1R, and measuring fluid levels in site monitoring wells <br /> BACKFILLING ACTIVITIES <br /> RESNA Industries Inc (RESNA) personnel supervised backfilling and compaction activities <br /> between December 14 and 16, 1994 Following the recommendations of Neil O Anderson <br /> and Associates, the compaction engineer, approximately 171 tons of imported sand was placed <br /> in the floor of the excavation and overlain with a fabric liner prior to placing remediated <br /> material into the excavation. The imported sand and the fabric liner were placed to provide a <br /> stable base upon which to accomplish adequate compaction The remainder of the excavation <br /> was backfilled with native remediated soil by Goins Environmental Construction.
