vi Pf_ [[ Working To Restore Nature 1710 Main Street Escalon, CA 95320 Phone (209) 838-3507 (4 3 FAX (209) 838-3509 June 29, 1994 Ms Mary Meays San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division P O Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 Subject Status Update Report, McAllister Trust, 601 S Ventura St , Stockton, CA Dear Ms Meays This letter report is submitted to summarize recent activities conducted at the subject site (Figure J6 1) Activities performed included removal and disposal of hydrocarbon impacted groundwater from the open excavation and manipulation of excavated stockpiled soil SITE BACKGROUND On March 9, 1989, two underground fuel storage tanks were removed from the site Hydrocarbon contamination was noted In soil samples collected from the east side of the tank pit excavation, however, a water sample collected from the southwest corner of the pit did not record any fuel constituents above method detection limits Laboratory results are summarized In Table 1 (soil results) and Table 2 (groundwater results) I On October 25, 1989, the floor of the former tank pit was deepened from 10 to 18 feet below grade using a tracked excavator Soil samples collected from the floor and sidewalls of the pit contained very low to non-detectable levels of petroleum hydrocarbons Laboratory results are summarized in Table 1. On November 22, 1989, six composite soil samples were collected from the excavated material stockpiled on-site Laboratory results for composite samples collected from the excavated material did not indicate the presence of hydrocarbon contamination above method detection levels Based on analytical results, the former tank pit was backfilled with the excavated remediated material Three groundwater monitoring wells were installed at the site by WaterWork Corp in August 1990 (MW 1, MW2 and MW3) A fourth well was installed by RESNA Industries Inc 150059%SUR-694 FNL
