�W� • n �_, r l� Working to Restore Nature 1710 Main Street t 'l ] w i -3 }FJ Escalon, CA 95320 OCT 1 4 1992 Phone (209)838-3507 FAX (209)838-3509 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PERMIt/W10orn October 12, 1992 Ms Mary Meays San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division P O Box 2009 Stockton, CA 95201 RE Marital Deduction Trust 601 South Ventura, Stockton, California PHS/EHD Site Code 1275 Dear Ms Meays This letter report details Third Quarter 1992 groundwater monitoring and sampling activities performed at the above referenced site (Figure 1) On September 10, 1992, RESNA Industries personnel monitored groundwater levels from wells MW1, MW2, MW3, and MW4 Water level measurements were collected from each monitoring well using a Solinst Water Level Meter (Model 101) Groundwater monitoring logs are included in Attachment 1 Water levels have decreased an average of 1 98 feet since June 1992 (Table 1) A groundwater gradient map was prepared using data from the September 10, 1992 monitoring event (Figure 2) The gradient varies from approximately 0 007 to 0 035 (37 ft/mile to 185 ft/mile, respectively) Groundwater samples were collected from wells MW 1 and MW4 Prior to sampling, a minimum of 50 gallons of water (approximately 19 casing volumes) were purged from each well Conductivity, pH, and temperature were monitored during purging and allowed to stabilize before sampling The samples were collected using dedicated, disposable bailers The samples were placed on ice and transported under chain-of-custody to state-certified RESNA Environmental Laboratories in Fremont, California All samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) using EPA method 8020 and for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHG) using modified EPA method 8015 Additional analysis for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD) was performed on monitoring well MW1 All L072792 MRM
