s
J
Pump test data will be evaluated using methods appropriate for It'he aquifer type.
w. Hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity and stor tivity (or spec°r:c yield) will be
calculated. Calculations used for the derivation of these values W_ l be provided, as
well as figures showing the measured drawdown and calculated ca- ture zone. Field
data will also be reduced and presented in tabular form in the final report of testing.
Procedural details are presented in the Aquifer TeE t Protocols (Appendix B).
1 .
5.2 Vapor Extraction Test
Vapor extraction testing will be conducted ir. accordance with the protocols
provided in Appendix C. It is anticipated that the extraction test will be conducted
using a 3/4 Horsepower regenerative blower, ith extracted soil vapor removed
from the effluent air stream by means of granular activated c _-'::on in. 55 gallon
containers connected in series. I
i
The testing will be conducted using wells VW- and VW-2 as extraction points..
Vapors will be extracted from each in accordance with the attached protocols for a
period of approximately three hours each. Mord-.oring wells MW-2 and MW-7, the
pump test well, and VW-3 will be utilized as monitoring points during each vapor j
extraction test.
5.3 Air Sparging Test
The air sparging test will be performed by applying air pressure to -:_Le sparging wells
by means of an air compressor or blower. The flow of air from the sparge wells will i
be monitored to determine it's extent and effect on the surrounding formation and
ground water. The test will be performed at diff rent levels of applied air pressure.
The applied air pressure will be changed when the pressare influence in
surrounding wells stabilizes. The initial applied air pressure Nvill be 10 psig. The
k _ applied air pressure will not exceed 45 psig, the PVC pressure limi The injected air
r pressure will not exceed 45 psi to provide a saf ty factor to prevent rupture of the
well screen, and the flowrate will not exceed 60 c
Prior to beginning the test, the following m asuremenls w _` be -made at the
surrounding observation wells:
• Depth to water will be measured to thenearest 0.01 foo`_ with a Solinst i
Felectronic interface probe, or equivalent.
• Dissolved oxygen (DO) content of the well ater will be meas--red.
F
F
F
D-207/FTLOT TEST WP 5
F
