After tests were performed an
underground gasoline tank was removed from this site in December
of 1986 . There has been no continued release of hazardous
materials at this site from that date . As of this date ten
monitoring wells have been installed. Soil and monitoring well
water is stored on site . Future remediation is pending the
acquisition of funds from the California State Office of Local
Assistance and or the Underground Tank Cleanup Fund.
Lammersville School personnel are now performing basic
monitoring tests due to the lack of funds for this project . All
ten wells were opened and examined. Wells 1 , 2 , 4 , and 5 , had
water bailed from the Christy boxes . All 10 wells were found to
be in good condition. The well heads were left open while
measuring the depth of water in the wells and sampling for
hydrocarbon odor or sheen. Water samples were collected for
observation of hydrocarbon presence by odor and sheen. The
following results are submitted for your review
Depth of Presence of Presence of
water hydrocarbon hydrocarbon
odor sheen
MW1 N5 ND ND
MW2 NS ND ND
MW3 NS NS NS
MW4 6 ' 10" NS NS
MW5 NS NS NS
MW6 6 ' 6 1/4" OD ND
MW7 NS NS NS
MW8 NS NS NS
I
