~ ADDI..JNAL INFORMA TION REQ UIREA. ;TS
LINDEN COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
Please provide the following information:
1. Describe the prevailing wind directions and nearby industrial or populated areas.
2. Do active or abandoned industrial, agricultural, domestic, or groundwater wells exist at the
treatment facility, storage pond(s) area? If yes, provide a map showing their location(s).
3. A narrative description of all wastewater conveyance,treatment, and disposal systems
planned for the facility. The description shall include a discussion of how the treatment
and disposal system protects groundwater quality.
4. A process flow diagram, treatment plant site plan, and a scaled map showing the limits of
all existing and proposed treatment and/or disposal areas.
5. A description of the sources and types of wastewater flowing into the system, design flow
rates, and the design capacity of the system. Include projected infiltration/inflow rates and
peaking factors used in design calculations.
6. Chemical characterization of the potable water supply including pH, hardness, alkalinity,
and a complete ion scan with anion/cation balance. Discuss water softening and other
water treatment processes that are needed or typically used and the relationship between
water supply treatment and wastewater treatment plant effluent quality.
7. Chemical characterization of influent wastewater quality, including biochemical oxygen
demand, total suspended solids, total dissolved solids, and nitrogenous compounds. This
may be partly based on standard engineering references, as deemed appropriate by the
design engineer, but the actual water supply character must also be considered.
8. Description of all known or anticipated industrial and commercial dischargers whose
individual BOD and/or hydraulic loads will be greater than two-percent of the plant's total
daily influent loading, including the following:
a. Name;
b. Industry/business type;
c. Nature of waste stream;
d. Average daily flow (gpd and percentage of total plant loading);
e. Peak daily flow;
f. Average daily BOD loading (lb/day and percentage of total plant loading);
g. Peak daily BOD loading;
h. Nature of seasonal or diurnal variations in influent flow or quality, if any; and
i. Pre-treatment or self-monitoring programs, if any.
9. Chemical characterization of treated effluent quality, including biochemical oxygen
demand,total suspended solids, total dissolved solids, nitrogenous compounds, and total
coliform organisms. This may be based on standard engineering references or certified
