Page 1 of 2 Revised on 8/29/2017 Title: Service Technician II <br />Position Specifics: <br />Title: SERVICE TECHNICIAN II Department: Service <br />Reports to: Service Manager Supervises: None <br />FLSA Status: Non-Exempt <br />Purpose:Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned <br />agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service <br />Writer, Shop Foreman, or Senior Technicians. <br />Responsibilities and Duties: <br />o Assembles and services all types of equipment, established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products, and <br />other merchandise offered for sale by the dealership <br />o Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment and other merchandise offered for sale by the <br />dealership <br />o Performs basic and complex diagnostics independently, solves basic and complex technical issues. <br />o Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the set-up and delivery process <br />o Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion <br />o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments <br />o Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments <br />o Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties <br />o Participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge <br />o Uses own tools <br />o Participation on on-call program <br />o Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion <br />o Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments <br />o Other duties as assigned <br /> <br />Qualifications and Skills: <br />o 2 – 7 years experience <br />o Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up processes <br />o Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions <br />o Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions <br />o Sound knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning, and electrical systems as they apply <br />to machines marketed by the Dealership <br />o Ability to lift at least 45 lbs. repeatedly <br />o High School Diploma or equivalent experience required <br />o Valid driver’s license required <br />o Fork lift license preferred <br />o Basic Service Technician certificate required <br />Essential Job Functions: <br />o Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds <br />o Repetitive hand use up to 7 hours a day <br />o Walking or standing up to 7 hours a day <br />o Sitting up to 4 hours a day <br />o Squatting/kneeling up to 3 hours a day <br />o Computer/keyboard work up to 2 hours in a day
