NAME: MCL Stockton <br /> SUBJECT: MCL Sampling Analysis Plan <br /> This sampling analysis plan covers the sampling of soil, and soil vapor. A direct-push rig has <br /> been subcontracted from Precision Sampling. This scope of work w ll follow all Geomatrix <br /> Protocols for the collection of soil vapor, and soil samples. <br /> Logistics <br /> All necessary access agreements, and USA tickets (#_ are attact ted to this document. <br /> Proposed boring locations have been marked with white paint and USA contacted. The USA <br /> ticket expires xx, 2007: contact USA if work will extend past the ex iration date. All soil <br /> cuttings and decontamination water will be contained in labeled dru s and stored onsite pending <br /> waste characterization results. The waste characterization sample w 11 be analyzed for poly <br /> aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) by EPA Method 8310, dioxins and f lrans using EPA Method <br /> 8290, and metals using EPA Method 6010. <br /> SOIL SAMPLING <br /> Methodology <br /> A total of 10 locations have been identified to collect surface soil samples from 0 to 6 inches <br /> below ground. These samples can be collected using a slide hammer and/or a clean 6-inch steel <br /> sleeve. The steel sleeves must be marked with top and bottom of the 6-inch interval. The <br /> samples will be analyzed for PAHs by EPA Method 8310, and dioxins and furans using EPA <br /> Method 8290. <br /> Sample identification for soil samples will be S9-S-5 where 139 is the boring location, S is the <br /> sample matrix(soil), and 5 is the top of the sample interval (5 to 5.5 feet bgs). <br /> QA/QC <br /> If a slide hammer is used, an equipment blank will be collected by pouring DI water over the <br /> decontaminated slide hammer and into the appropriate sample container.
