Hinson ' Ref : Letter Report Groundwater Monitoring American Moulding and Millwork 2800 West Lane Stockton, California Dear Ms. Hinson: INTRODUCTION This letter report presents the results of the most recent groundwater sampling activities performed by Dames & Moore at the American Moulding and Millwork facility in Stockton, California. ' Dames & Moore performed this groundwater sampling and analysis on behalf of American Forest Products Company (AFPC) , the former owner and operator of the facility. The groundwater sampling and analysis was performed in accordance with the Work Plan for Additional Groundwater Investigation dated November 18 , 1988 and the Revision to the Work Plan dated January 23 , 1989 previously submitted to and approved by San Joaquin Local Health District. ' FIELD SAMPLING Dames & Moore performed the groundwater sampling on January 31 , 1989 . The Work Plan called for sampling and analysis of the three existing monitoring wells (MW-1 , MW-2 , and MW-3 ) and one inactive on-site production well. The locations of the three monitoring wells is shown of Figure 1 and the location of the production well is shown of Figure 2. Monitoring wells MW-1 (total depth 48 ft. ) and MW-3 (total depth 51 feet) were both dry and groundwater samples could not be obtained. Monitoring well MW-2 (total depth 51 ft) contained approximately 2 feet of water. Prior to sampling of MW-2, 3 . 5 gallons of water was evacuated from the well using a dedicated polyethylene bailer.
