• Samples will be obtained with a clean Teflon bailer. To minimize the
possibility of cross-contamination between wells, the bailer will be
carefully cleaned between wells with a trisodium phosphate solution,
rinsed with fresh water, and rinsed finally with distilled water;
• Records of water samples will be maintained on standard Dames & Moore
formatted record sheets. Specific conductance, pH, and temperature
will be measured in the field during sampling; and
• Water samples will be contained in bottles obtained fROm a California
DOHS certified environmental laboratory and stored immediately on ice
after collection. One duplicate sample will also be submitted. All
samples will be analyzed by a DHS certified laboratory for
TPH-gasoline and diesel (Methods 3510 and 8015 Modified) and BTX&E
(Method 602) .
The results of the additional groundwater sampling will be evaluated and a
report will be prepared and submitted for your review. The report will
present the following items:
• Site plan of appropriate scale showing the locations of all
monitoring wells and production well;
• Groundwater contour map and estimated groundwater flow direction;
• Complete analytical data from all sample analyses; and
• An interpretation of the results.
2
BS/2637b/71b
