<br /> irritation to the upper respiratory tract (casghing 6 sneezing), a cs (tearing) and
<br /> skin. Readilv absorbed thr_ouRh the skin causing systemic injury. The risk of serious
<br /> lntaRication is increased In hot weather. Skin contacr causes irritation, dermatitis,
<br /> and acneform (believed mainly iron impurities Jr. PCP) . Solutions s5 dilute as 12 can
<br /> cause akin irritation upon prolougeil or repeated contact. S,rmptoms from excessive
<br /> exposure include anorexia, fever, profuse sweating. increased respiration, muscular
<br /> weakness, hyperglycemia, weight loss and heart failure.
<br /> FIRST AID:
<br /> Eye Contact: Flush thoroughly with running water for 15 min. Including under eyelids.
<br /> Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing! lash affected area with soap and water.
<br /> Inhalation: Remove to fresh air.
<br /> lu;;usticnn: Cave several glesees of water to drink. Induce vomiting Control rising
<br /> body temp, with ice.-cold towels or cold water bath.
<br /> Cet prompt medical help for further treatment obsar.•aticn and suDcorr after first aid.
<br /> SECTION VII. SPILL, LEAK, AND DISPOSAL PROCEDURES
<br /> Notify �ufety personnel. Provide ventilation. Cleat-up workers need full protection
<br /> against inhalation of vapors and contacr: with solid or solution. Collect solution
<br /> spill with absorbent solid and place ir metal container for disposal. [dash residue with
<br /> soap and water. Prevent spills from entering sswFrs, streams, and open waters.
<br /> *DISPOSAL: Waste naterial can be buried in an approved Landfill or dissolved in a flamma-
<br /> ble solvent, and burned in an approved, high, temperature (>6COC) incinerator using an
<br /> afterburner and scrubber for HC1 abatement. Follow ?ederal, State, and Local regulations

<br /> chemical cartridge respirator witlh a dust, mist and fume filter and organic vapor
<br /> cartridge can be used to 25 mpg/m ; a full facepiece is needed >Z,5g/m3.3Apprcved, self-
<br /> contained, positive pressure, breathing apparatus can he used to 150 mg/m .
<br /> Use impervious gloves, boots, protective clothing, etc. to avoid skin contact with liquid.
<br /> Use chemical safety goggles with a taceshield if splashing is possi le. Contaminated
<br /> clothing to be removed and laundered before reuse. Showering after •orkshift with a
<br /> complete change to street clothes is desirable. Use separated lockers for street clothes
<br /> Eyewash stations and washing facilities should be available near use areas.
<br /> Preplacement and periodic physical exams should emphasize cardiovasular system, eves,
<br /> u1pei'hr 7CPesrpiratory tract, liver, kidneys and skin. Provide training ♦:o those working

<br /> SECTION IX. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS AND COMMENTS
