J. H KLEINFELDER & ASSOCAS <br /> 1 <br /> 4 CHEMICAL ANALYSIS <br /> I <br /> 4.1 PROCEDURES <br /> Soil and water samples will be analyzed as shown in Ta Is 1. Analysis for <br /> PCP will be by a modified version of EPA Method 604. Analysis for lead, <br /> zinc, and chromium will be by ICAP. Total phenols will be analyzed using <br /> EPA Method 420.1. Formaldehyde analysis will be performed by Brown and <br /> Caldwell laboratories using a proprietary technique using liquid <br /> chromatography. Water sample vials supplied by Brown ind Caldwell contain <br /> acidified 2, 4-diphenyl hydrazine to field deriv tize formaldehyde. <br /> Quality control for the chemical analysis will be tha responsibility for <br /> the laboratories. <br /> I4.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> One set of travel blanks and one duplicate well water sample will be <br /> submitted for chemical analysis. A central file will be maintained at the' <br /> ' Kleinfelder offices in Sacramento. Originals of field reports, test <br /> j results, and other pertinent information will be retained on file.
