Site Contamination Work Plan Addend <br /> American Moulding and Millwork Compan <br /> 2801 North West Lane, Stockton, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. J. Patrick Hughes of American Moulding and Millwork <br /> Company(AM&M)Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. (AGE)has prepared this work planto assess <br /> potential ground water contamination related to various former operations at the referenced site.The <br /> assessment was directed by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> by letter dated 13 March 2002. Figure I shows the site setting. Figures 2 through 5 are site plans <br /> showing structures and proposed boring and sampling locations. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The northern portion of the AM&M property is currently utilized as furniture manufacturing <br /> facility. The southern portion of the property is currently vacant, but was historically utilized as a <br /> fruit box manufacturing facility. The Finger Joints/Box Factory Building n the southern portion of <br /> the site was recently destroyed by fire. <br /> 2.1. SITE HISTORY <br /> Information regarding site history was developed through review of various reports by Meinfelder <br /> and Dames &Moore, discussions with Mr. Glen Gallup formerly of AM&M, file reviews at the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) and RWQCB, and review of various <br /> documents supplied by AM&M. The site was operated by American Forest Products Company <br /> (AFPC) manufacturing wood products from 1921 to 1987 (Dames & Moore). AM&M purchased <br /> the property in 1987 and continues manufacturing wood furniture. The ' dustrial operation initially <br /> occurred primarily on the southern portion of the property (Figure 3), but has moved to the north <br /> portion ofthe property(Figure 4).The southern portion of the property is not currently in use,several <br /> buildings have been removed. The Finger Joint/Box Cover Building was recently destroyed by fire. <br /> An extensive site history was presented in AGE's Site Contamination Work Plan, dated <br /> 11 September 2001, and Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report, dated 29 Janurary 2002. <br /> 3.0. PRIOR SITE ASSESSMENTS <br /> Several environmental concerns have been assessed at the site inclu ' g the use and storage of <br /> pentalchloropehnol, steam cleaning operations, active and in-active septic systems, several wash- <br /> down areas, storm water retention ponds, a former teepee structure utilized for incinerating waste, <br /> two burn pits and stockpiled soil generated during excavation of the teepee structure and burn pits. <br /> For the purpose of this work plan, only areas identified by the RWQCB as potential environmental <br /> Advanced GeoEnviro=ental,Inc. <br />
