CA0081787 <br /> FOR <br /> MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> Specific sample station locations shall be established under direction of the <br /> Board's staff and a description of the stations shall be attached to this Order. <br /> Prior to construction, pians and specifications for ground water monitoring <br /> wells shall be submitted to Board staff for review and approval . <br /> EFFLUENT MONITORING <br /> Effluent samples shall be collected in North Yard immediately preceding entry <br /> into the pump and pipeline that conveys effluent to the Stockton Diverting <br /> Canal . Effluent samples should be representative of the volume and nature of <br /> the discharge. Time of collection of a grab sample shall be recorded. The <br /> following shall constitute the effluent monitoring program: <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Total Chromium mg/l Grab *Once per week <br /> Hexavalent Chromium mg/l Grab *Once per week <br /> Arsenic mg/1 Grab *Once per week <br /> Copper mg/l Grab *Once per week <br /> Specific Conductivity umhos/cm Grab *Once per week <br /> pH pH Units Grab *Once per week <br /> Flow mgd Cumulative Continuous <br /> Bioassay % Survival Grab Once per year <br /> Priority Pollutant ug/l** Grab Once per year <br /> Scan <br /> A visual inspection of the chromium monitor, the conductivity monitor and the <br /> treatment system shall be performed daily when treatment system is in operation. <br /> * During the first 24 hours of a storm-induced discharge from the treatment <br /> system, three samples shall be collected at 8 hour intervals and composited. <br /> After this 24 hour period, samples shall be collected once per week. <br /> ** Or Method Detection Limit. <br />
