The following comments are based on the review of information
contained in reports generated by professional environmental consultants for soil and groundwater in
an area formerly occupied by aboveground storage tanks at the above referenced site.
The last phase of field work has effectively characterized the soil contamination in the area under
investigation. The data collected to date indicate only surface soil impact. This surface soil impact
appears to be limited to the upper three feet of soils and does not indicate a threat to the groundwater
resource. Therefore, PHS-EHD has amended the local contaminated site database maintained by this
office to reflect this new information. In addition, as current site conditions do not warrant further
oversight, a referral to the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, or any other state agency
responsible for environmental regulatory oversight, will not be made regarding this matter.
If you have any questions or wish to discuss this letter in more detail, please contact Linda Turkatte, i
Senior REHS, at (209) 468-3441.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Linda A.
