is
Kennedy/Jenks Consultants
4.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
In summary, the following conclusions are based on field observations and laboratory data
gathered during the subsurface investigation in November 1995.
• Three soil borings were drilled at the Site to a depths between approximately 19
and 22 feet bgs. One soil boring {KB-2}was terminated at a depth of approximately
six feet bgs due to the presence of concrete in the subsurface. Subsurface
lithology consisted primarily of clay in the upper 12 to 13 feet, underlain by silt, silty
sand, and sand.
• A total of seven soil samples were submitted to the laboratory for analysis of
petroleum hydrocarbons.
Groundwater was encountered during drilling at depths between approximately 17
Land 19 feet bgs. Reconnaissance groundwater samples were collected from Soil
Borings KB-1, KB-2 and KB-4 and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons.
L • Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in-any of the soil or reconnaissance
groundwater samples. Based on the available information provided to
Kennedy/Jenks regarding the location of the former ASTs, it does not appear that
the ASTs have impacted the Site.
L
Ll
R
f
iskjob1951950073.004rpflsubsurfltextdoc 6
