This was corrected on site. <br /> -One drained used oil filter was observed on top of the used oil tank in the hazardous waste storage area. This was <br /> corrected on site. <br /> -One approximately 15 gallon drum of grease was observed with saturated oily rags on top of the drum in the <br /> hazardous waste storage area. <br /> -An oily stain covered in absorbent was observed on the cement next to the used oil tank. <br /> -The northwest corner of the shop was observed with oily absorbent, a used paper filter and a used metal filter on <br /> the ground. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean up hazardous waste spills. Manage the waste according to Title 22 <br /> California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San <br /> Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up <br /> waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: Two eye wash bottles located on the eastern wall of the shop were observed with expiration dates <br /> of June 2018. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control <br /> equipment, and decontamination equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure <br /> its proper operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the eye wash bottles into proper working order by repair, replacement or testing. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> FA0009252 PR0513725 SCO01 10/21/2019 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.9/20/2019 Page 5 of 8 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
