r
a
San Joaquin County Public Health Service M
Environmental Health Division
December 15, 1995
Page 3 ti
Moore, November 1, 1994). Upon approval of this proposed monitoring plan by PHS-EHD, a
work plan will be submitted to PHS-EHD, which specifies monitoring well .sampling,
groundwater level measurement, soil sample collection, and analytical test methods for soil and
water samples.
Groundwater level measurements, and original laboratory reports for groundwater samples will
be presented to the PHS-EHD in annual letter reports by September of each year from 1996 to
2000. After five years of groundwater monitoring and receipt of the soil analytical data collected
in July 2001, a final report will be prepared by October 2001 summarizing groundwater and
soils data generated. It is expected that PHS-EHD will approve final closure of the underground
tanks at that time, assuming that results from the monitoring program continue to support final
closure of the underground tanks.
Upon written approval of this proposed monitoring program, AFPC is prepared to immediately
proceed with implementation. Please contact Kirkland and Ellis at (312) 861-2000, or the
undersigned at (916) 387-8800, if you have any questions or wish to discuss this proposed
monitoring program further.
Sincerely,
DAMES & MOORE ;l
1
Jeffrey G.
