This plan was developed from conversations between PHS- <br /> EI-ID and Kirkland and Eilis and from previous 'investigation, monitoring and remediation <br /> activities undertaken in order to close two leaking underground storage tanks, whose former <br /> locations are shown in Figure 1. The objective of this proposed monitoring program is to obtain <br /> the data requested by PHS-EHD in order to attain final unconditional closure of the two leaking <br /> underground storage tanks. <br /> Proposed Monitoring Program <br /> In your recent conversation with Kirkland and Ellis,you suggested that final closure for the tanks <br /> could be attained through implementation of a monitoring program consisting of three <br /> components: measurement of groundwater Ieve Is,samplingand analysis ofgroundwater quality; <br /> and soil monitoring to be conducted over a five-year period prior to determination of final <br /> unconditional closure.
